Plužensko jezero is a small alpine lake located near the village of Plužna, just above the town of Bovec in the Soča Valley. Sitting at an elevation of approximately 1,050 meters, the lake lies at the edge of the Julian Alps and offers a peaceful natural setting ideal for short hikes and nature lovers. Surrounded by lush forest and mountain meadows, it provides a quiet alternative to the more visited lakes in the region. Although modest in size, Plužensko jezero is known for its crystal-clear waters and scenic views of nearby peaks such as Kaninska Rinka and Prestreljenik. The lake is also close to the Bovec–Kaninska gondola and serves as a great stop on the way to higher alpine trails or a relaxing end to a day in the mountains. Swimming is not allowed, as the lake is part of a sensitive mountain ecosystem.
